Porte mars gate

The Gate of Mars is a Roman monument of the 3rd century. It takes its name from the proximity of a temple dedicated to the Roman god of war. Its width of 33 meters makes it the widest arch in Europe.

It is the only one of the four monumental arches built around the year 200 allowing the access to the city of Durocortorum which survived. It consists of 3 arches.

First built in 1929, the Boulingrin Market Hall is an integral part of the identity of Reims.

The Cathedral of Reims

Notre Dame de Reims Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral and is the place where most of the kings of France were crowned.

Clovis, the first king of France, was baptized here. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The construction of the Gothic style building began in the early 13th century and was completed in the 14th century.
